POINT systems deploys IT solutions in a wide variety of customer applications using many different technologies.

When asked "what do you do", this can be a difficult question to answer. However, with some thought the answer can be expressed as follows:

a) The first step in the process is to help the customer define the requirement as clearly as possible. This should ideally be a solution that meets a business requirement rather than going straight to a "kit list". (at no cost)

b) We will then consider what the IT solution should look like. This will sometimes involve evaluating a number of technologies to determine which gives the best fit. (at no cost)

c) Having defined a solution we will approach our contacts in the market to source the solution at the most advantageous price. We would typically expect to source products for a customer cheaper than they can themselves.

d) We will then "project manage" the delivery and installation. Typically this would necessitate co-ordinating with multiple suppliers. The customer is kept fully informed at all stages. (at no cost)

e) Following the installation we will ensure that appropriate support contracts are put in place. While we will use other suppliers to provide maintenance services we remain involved assisting with escalation when required. (at no cost)
