Carmarthenshire County Council

Following the deployment of a radio based wireless network throughout the County it was found that this technology could not be used in certain locations - due to geography. POINT systems met with Council representatives and gave advice on alternative solutions.

The most obvious option for most sites was ADSL. The Council went out to tender for about 40 sites (schools) and POINT systems was successful in winning this tender. Since then we have deployed ADSL to about 100 sites including libraries, care homes etc.

Our strength in this area lies not only in our aggressive pricing but in the high levels of support and service we provide.

The Council has also used POINT systems to deploy a satellite broadband system at a school where ADSL was not available. This system has proved very successful.
